The Spirituality in Health-Care Network (SHCN) is a multi-professional and multi-faith network of professionals dedicated to integrating spirituality with psychotherapy and health-care. SHCN provides a forum for spiritually oriented health-care professionals of diverse specialty and training, and for spiritual leaders of all faith traditions. SHCN's goals are:
- to promote supportive dialogue and networking;
- to provide educational opportunities via meetings with speakers from within the network and with small group discussions;
- to facilitate communication between network members.
How to Join the Spirituality in Health Care Network
To become a member simply come to the meetings.
If you are too far away, you can still subscribe and join the e-mail newsgroup to keep in touch with our activities and communicate with members. To find out about the meetings subscribe to SHCNnews. SHCNnews is the mailing list for the Spirituality in Health Care Network. It is only used by SHCN executive to send email announcements of SHCN meetings. It is an attachment-free newsgroup (to reduce the likelihood of exchanging computer viruses).
To communicate with other members, subscribe to the E-mail Newsgroup.
Members of the SHCN Email newsgroup can post messages of mutual interest to other SHCN members who have joined that newsgroup. It is also an attachment-free newsgroup.

- Go to your own e-mail site. There you will receive an email from Yahoo requesting that you confirm your desire to subscribe.
- To confirm your desire to subscribe, REPLY to the email from Yahoo, no message required. ( Click the "reply" button, then click "send".)
Remember, to stay in touch, if you change your e-mail address for any reason, you must change your own e-mail address on the SHCNnews newsgroup. (Simply unsubscribe your old address, then subscribe from the new email address.)

Start a Branch in Your Area
SHCN invites and encourages professionals living outside of southern Ontario to start a local branch of the network in their region and to have local network meetings.
Individuals wanting to start a local branch should email the SHCN Executive to make arrangements for advertising their local meetings.
