She is currently a psychotherapist in private practice and has told stories at the Toronto Festival of Storytelling. Dr. Mary Vachon is a nurse, clinical sociologist, psychotherapist, researcher, educator and cancer survivor.
Ann’s mother Jean was a 21-year-old University of Toronto student in 1918 when the flu arrived. Without previous nursing experience she found herself nursing desperately ill people.
